Description: Fundamentals of likelihood-based inference, including sufficiency, conditioning, likelihood principle, statistical paradoxes. Theory and practice of maximum likelihood. Examples covered may include survival analysis, GLM's, nonlinear models, random effects and empirical Bayes models, and quasi-likelihood.
